Morocco’s future will not be shaped by a single transformation. Technology, climate, economic change, social dynamics, territorial development and geopolitics increasingly interact and reinforce one another.

Our priorities reflect this interconnected reality. They provide a structured framework for identifying emerging signals, examining long-term implications and understanding how change in one field can reshape outcomes across others.

01. Technological Foresight

We examine how emerging technologies are reshaping Morocco’s economy, institutions and society. From artificial intelligence and biotechnology to clean energy and the digital economy, our work explores their long-term implications for jobs, public services, industry and national resilience.

02. Environmental & Climate Foresight

We explore how climate change, water scarcity, food systems and resource pressures may evolve over time. Our work helps identify future vulnerabilities, adaptation pathways and strategic choices for a more resilient Morocco.

03. Economic Foresight

We analyse the forces reshaping Morocco’s economic future, including innovation, entrepreneurship, the future of work, global trade and investment. Our aim is to understand how structural change may influence growth, competitiveness and strategic positioning.

04. Social & Cultural Foresight

We study the social transformations that may reshape education, demographics, digital life, culture and identity. Our work explores how Morocco can respond to changing expectations while preserving cohesion, inclusion and cultural continuity.

05. Urban & Territorial Foresight

We examine the future of Morocco’s cities and regions, from sustainable urban development and mobility to territorial balance and urban expansion. Our focus is on how places can adapt to demographic, technological and environmental change.

06. Security & Geopolitical Foresight

We assess geopolitical shifts, cybersecurity risks and emerging forms of crisis and disruption. Through scenario-based analysis, we explore how regional and global change may affect Morocco’s strategic environment and long-term resilience.

Understanding Our Priorities

The six priority fields reflect the major technological, environmental, economic, social, territorial and geopolitical transformations identified in the Foundation’s statutes. Together, they provide a structured framework for examining the forces most likely to shape Morocco’s future.
Because long-term change rarely happens in isolation. Technological shifts can affect employment, climate pressures can reshape cities and food systems, and geopolitical change can influence trade, energy and security. Our approach therefore considers both individual trends and the connections between them.
They provide the Foundation with a long-term strategic framework, while remaining broad enough to accommodate new issues, emerging risks and evolving areas of research as circumstances change.
Depending on the subject, the Foundation may conduct foresight research, analyse emerging signals, develop scenarios, convene expert dialogue, build institutional capabilities or contribute strategic insight for decision-makers.
Yes. The Foundation’s model encourages cooperation with universities, research centres, public institutions, businesses, civil society and specialised experts through partnerships, foresight committees, research initiatives and knowledge exchange.
