About the Foundation

Morocco Future Foundation is an independent Moroccan strategic foresight institution dedicated to strengthening long-term thinking, producing future-oriented knowledge and supporting informed decision-making.

No. Morocco Future Foundation is an independent, non-profit association established under Moroccan law. It works with public institutions, businesses, universities, civil society and international partners while preserving its institutional and analytical independence.

The Foundation was created in response to the growing need for structured long-term thinking in a context of rapid technological, environmental, economic, social and geopolitical change. Its ambition is to help strengthen Morocco’s capacity to anticipate change rather than simply respond to it.

The Foundation is headquartered in Casablanca, Morocco, and develops initiatives with national, regional and international perspectives.

Understanding Strategic Foresight

Strategic foresight is a structured approach to exploring emerging change, uncertainty and plausible alternative futures. It does not predict a single future. It helps institutions understand what may happen and prepare better for different possibilities.

Our foresight agenda covers six interconnected fields: technology, environment and climate, economy, society and culture, urban and territorial development, and security and geopolitics.

Because major transformations rarely happen in isolation. Technology influences work and society, climate affects cities and food systems, and geopolitical change can reshape energy, trade and investment. Understanding these connections is central to our approach.

Yes. The six fields provide a long-term framework, while specific research themes and strategic questions may evolve as new signals, risks and opportunities emerge.

How We Are Governed

The Foundation is governed through complementary bodies including the General Assembly, Executive Bureau, Advisory Council, Foresight Committees and Active Members. Each has distinct responsibilities within the governance framework.
The Executive Bureau provides strategic and operational leadership, oversees programmes and resources, develops partnerships and represents the Foundation nationally and internationally.
The Foundation is guided by principles of analytical integrity, scientific rigour, transparency and collegial governance. Its work is designed to remain evidence-based and independent from political or commercial interests.

Our Programs & Initiatives

Our portfolio currently includes Morocco Future Forum, Future Dialogues, Morocco Future Data, Morocco 2035, Foresight Academy and the Futures Research Center. Together, they connect research, data, learning and dialogue.

Morocco Future Forum is the Foundation’s flagship international convening platform, bringing together decision-makers, researchers, business leaders and foresight experts around major long-term transformations.

Foresight Academy is our learning and capability-building platform for public leaders, professionals, academics and emerging talent. It develops practical skills in foresight, scenario thinking and long-term strategic decision-making.

Morocco Future Data is being developed as a strategic intelligence platform for monitoring emerging signals, analysing critical trends and supporting foresight research and long-term decision-making.

How to Get Involved

Individuals and organisations aligned with the Foundation’s mission may express interest in membership. Applications are reviewed according to the Foundation’s governance and membership framework.
Yes. Researchers, practitioners and subject-matter specialists may contribute to research projects, foresight committees, expert discussions, publications and selected programmes as Associate Experts or through other forms of collaboration.
Senior Fellows are recognised experts and senior practitioners invited to contribute high-level insight, intellectual leadership, mentorship and long-term perspective to selected Foundation activities.
Partnerships may involve joint research, academic cooperation, training, strategic dialogue, events, data initiatives or international knowledge exchange. Organisations can contact the Foundation to explore an appropriate collaboration model.

Research, Insights & Publications

The Foundation is developing articles, foresight perspectives, research notes, strategic briefs and longer-form studies across its priority fields.
Yes. Morocco Future Foundation welcomes contributions from researchers, practitioners, experts and emerging voices. Submissions are subject to editorial and quality review before publication.
No. External contributions may represent the views of their respective authors. Publication does not necessarily imply that every conclusion reflects the institutional position of Morocco Future Foundation.
